Space Safety Platform Documentation

To ensure safe spaceflight, all spacecraft operators should track their spacecraft with onboard GNSS, accurately predict their future trajectories, and broadcast that information to other satellite operators. Starlink publishes its ephemeris to our public website and to multiple screening platforms, including our internally developed space safety platform, space-safety.starlink.com.

space-safety.starlink.com is a screening platform that is always free of charge to participating spacecraft operators. It facilitates transparent ephemeris sharing between operators and provides low-latency conjunction screening, both against user-submitted data, and against observations made by the Stargaze Space Situational Awareness (SSA) system. Screening results are typically available less than a minute from trajectory submission. Starlink GNSS states in the system are updated hourly.

These documentation pages provide a reference for both the web-based user interface and the APIs hosted at space-safety.starlink.com. In addition, they host articles on technical topics of interest to satellite operators.
